Innovative Website Designed To Promote Small Businesses In Oakland County

Young Entrepreneurs Ready To Showcase Their Product

KEEGO HARBOR, MI – July 19, 2008 – After months of developing their product, Bizica LLC announced today that they will launch a Beta version of their website, Bizica.com, on Monday.

After seeing the success of such social networking websites such as MySpace and Facebook and difficulties face by small business in promoting themselves online, local high school seniors, now college students, were inspired to develop a similar website for small businesses.  They developed Bizica.com in order to encourage further communications amongst businesses and local consumers. “We want to have a positive impact on Southeastern Michigan’s economy,” says President and founder Greg Grose. “Our website is an innovative way to assist small businesses promote themselves online.”

Bizica.com will provide small businesses with several unique features. “Our goal is to develop a hyper-local businesses directory in which a consumer can learn more about a business than just an address,” says Grose. The website allows businesses to add themselves to the directory, write a description about their business, and upload a logo and photos. According to Grose, “Unlike other business directories, Bizica.com strongly promotes businesses participation, which allows for greater consumers benefits and more distinct businesses identities.” 

Still, one of the most innovative elements of the website is that it allows businesses to conduct e-commerce through their listings – for free. Bizica.com members with a PayPal account can upload pictures of their products along with product descriptions and prices. “A consumer will no longer need to leave his or her computer to purchase from local businesses,” says Grose. 

There are plenty of further benefits for consumers, too. In addition to e-commerce, users can post reviews about businesses and discuss products and news on the forums.

In addition, Bizica.com will soon launch an additional service providing free business websites. “A business should not have to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to develop a professional-looking webpage.”
